Trace Characterization of Refractory Metals by Activation Techniques

چکیده
The application of activation techniques to the assay of the refractory metals niobium, molybdenum, tantalum and tunjsten for their trace element impurities is reviewed. Activation with reactor neutrons, fast neutrons, charged partides and photons in connection with both the non-destructive and the radiochemical performance is considered. The decisive contribution of activation techniques to the advances achieved in trace characterization of refractory me— tals is discussed.
